Pasadena Heritage chose Steve and Lisa Haussler to represent the organization for the sale of the Madison House, an historic home on South St. John Avenue and its headquarters for more than twenty years. This is a letter of commendation for two of your outstanding realtors, Steve and Lisa Haussler. We met them in November of 2005 and were extremely impressed with their professionalism, deep knowledge about the local market, and ability to listen to our particular needs and expectations. I have recently had the opportunity of working with Steve and Lisa Haussler and wanted to take a moment to let you know how pleased I am to have utilized their services again. They truly add professionalism and knowledge to what could be an intimidating process.
This was the fifth time that the Hausslers and I have been involved in a real estate transaction. Steve’s perseverance led to the first house purchased over ten years ago under somewhat difficult circumstances. Several months ago, I listed my house with Steve and Lisa Haussler… The decision to sell was actually the easiest part of this transaction, but my choice of agents was most fortuitous.

In order for us to purchase our new home, we had to make a contingent offer on the new home and then sell our house in twelve days. Needless to say, the stress of such a compressed timeframe was quite intense but Steve’s marketing plan and knowledge of the Altadena/Pasadena real estate market is amazing. Even though we were quite skeptical about our ability to meet such an aggressive goal, Steve was confident. We put our faith in Steve’s advice, followed his instructions and, just as he predicted, we received multiple offers on the house and sold above our asking price, virtually at the price he said we would receive. On the new home, Steve helped us write an offer that, even with the contingency, was appealing enough to convince the sellers to work with us.
I recognize that many real estate agents bring market expertise and negotiating skills to the table and Steve certainly displays these skills. The things that we feel make Steve unique are the empathy he offers his clients, his ability to help clients understand the real estate process and to formulate decisions, and his absolute integrity. Had our real estate agent not possessed this combination of skills, I really do not believe that we would have been able to achieve what we did in such a short period of time.
